Your team, working together. Properly set up.

Most London businesses are already paying for collaboration tools. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Teams or Meet, SharePoint or shared drives. The software is good. The problem is rarely the software.

Collaboration

Most London businesses are already paying for collaboration tools. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Teams or Meet, SharePoint or shared drives. The software is good. The problem is rarely the software.

The problem is that nobody configured it properly when it was set up, nobody is managing the security settings, permissions drift as people join and leave, and the assumption that Microsoft is backing it all up is, unfortunately, wrong.

We fix all of that.

What we actually do

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration

We manage your platform properly: accounts, permissions, shared drives, distribution lists, security policies, and licence allocation. When someone joins, their account is set up the right way from day one. When someone leaves, their access is removed immediately and their data is handled correctly.

Teams and SharePoint configuration

Teams is powerful when it is set up well. It is a mess when it is not. We configure your channels, permissions, and storage structure so that files end up where they should, shared with the right people, and not sprawling across individual laptops where they cannot be found or protected.

User onboarding and offboarding

A leaver whose Microsoft 365 account is not properly deprovisioned is a security risk. Shared inboxes left open, SharePoint access not revoked, licence fees still being charged for people who left six months ago. We handle this as a standard part of our service, so nothing falls through the gap.

Backup for your cloud data

This is the one most businesses do not know about.

Microsoft does not back up your email, SharePoint, or OneDrive. Their terms and conditions say so explicitly, and they actually recommend using a third-party backup tool. The native recycle bin gives you a window of 14 to 93 days depending on the application. After that, deleted data is gone.

We put proper backup in place for your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environment so that an accidental deletion, a malicious act by a departing employee, or a ransomware attack does not mean permanent data loss.

SaaS licence management

Most businesses are overpaying for licences. People leave, licences stay active. Roles change, but the wrong tier of licence is still being paid for. We review your licence allocation and make sure you are paying for what you actually need.

Multi-factor authentication

Every collaboration platform is a target. Email accounts, SharePoint, Teams: these are where your business data lives, and they are what attackers go for first. We enforce MFA across every account and every platform as standard, because a password alone is not enough.

One monthly fee. One number to call.

Whether your team uses Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or both, the day-to-day risk of keeping your collaboration tools secure, backed up, and properly managed becomes our job, not yours.

FAQ

Common questions

What does Network Fish manage as part of collaboration support?

We manage your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration, Teams and SharePoint configuration, user onboarding and offboarding, backup for your cloud data, SaaS licence management, and multi-factor authentication across your collaboration platforms. The aim is that your team’s tools are properly set up, secured, and backed up, not just installed and left to drift over time.

Does Microsoft 365 back up my email, SharePoint, and Teams data?

No. Microsoft keeps your data available but does not back it up in the way most businesses assume. Their own terms recommend using a third-party backup tool. Native retention for deleted items ranges from 14 to 93 days depending on the application, after which the data is permanently unrecoverable. We put proper third-party backup in place for your collaboration data, covering email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.

What happens to a former employee’s Microsoft 365 account when they leave?

If offboarding isn’t handled properly, a former employee’s account, shared inbox access, and SharePoint permissions can remain active long after they’ve gone — a genuine security risk. We manage offboarding as a standard part of our service, removing access immediately, handling the data correctly, and making sure nothing falls through the gap.

Are we paying for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace licences we don’t need?

It’s common. People leave and licences stay active, or someone’s role changes but they’re still on the wrong tier. We review your licence allocation as part of our service and make sure you’re paying for what you actually need, not what’s accumulated over time by default.

Do you support both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?

Yes. We manage and support both platforms, including administration, security configuration, onboarding and offboarding, and backup — whichever your business runs, or if you use a mix of both.

Why does Teams data need its own backup separate from SharePoint?

Every Teams channel has a SharePoint document library behind it, but Teams also generates data SharePoint doesn’t cover on its own — chat history, channel messages, and meeting recordings. A proper Microsoft 365 backup needs to capture Teams data specifically, not just the underlying SharePoint libraries, to fully protect what your team is actually using day to day.

Is multi-factor authentication enforced on our collaboration tools?

Yes, as standard. Email accounts, SharePoint, and Teams are common targets for attackers because that’s where your business data lives. We enforce MFA across every account on every collaboration platform you use, since a password alone is not considered sufficient protection.

Is collaboration support included in a managed support contract?

Yes. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration, Teams and SharePoint configuration, onboarding and offboarding, licence management, and MFA enforcement are all included for Network Fish managed support clients as part of your monthly fee.
