Microsoft 365 is the productivity and communications platform used by the majority of London SMEs. For most businesses, it is where their email lives, where their files are stored, and where their team communicates. Managing it properly — getting licences right, keeping security configured, ensuring data is backed up — is not optional. It is the foundation of how the business runs.
Network Fish manages Microsoft 365 for London businesses as part of a broader managed IT support contract. We handle the administration so your team can use the tools, without the headaches.
Microsoft 365 services
We provide three distinct Microsoft 365 services. Most managed support clients take all three, but they can also be engaged individually.
Business Support
Licensing procurement and management, user and mailbox administration, Teams and SharePoint configuration, and helpdesk support for everything Microsoft 365 related.
Security Management
MFA enforcement, anti-phishing policies, conditional access, safe link scanning, and ongoing monitoring via Microsoft Secure Score. The security tools are in your licence — we make sure they’re switched on and properly configured.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Microsoft does not back up your data. We deploy a third-party backup solution covering email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams — with granular restore and independent retention.
Why SMEs need a specialist Microsoft partner
Microsoft 365 is a mature, well-built product. It is also genuinely complex to administer correctly. Most SMEs either under-use what they’re paying for (licences that include security tools which have never been configured) or are exposed in ways they are unaware of (no backup, weak authentication policies, users with more access than they need).
The licences alone are not the service. The value is in how they are deployed, configured, and maintained. That is where we come in.
Licensing done properly
We procure Microsoft 365 licences on your behalf, at the right tier for your requirements, and manage them as your team grows and changes. Users are added and removed promptly. Licences are not left running for departed employees. You are not paying for seats you are not using.
Security that is actually on
Many Microsoft 365 subscriptions include sophisticated security tooling that is never enabled. Defender for Business, Intune, conditional access, anti-phishing policies, safe links — these are features your licence may already include. We configure them properly and monitor them on an ongoing basis. See our Microsoft 365 security management page for the full detail.
Backup that works when you need it
Microsoft 365 retains deleted items for limited periods, but it is not a backup service. If data is permanently deleted, corrupted, or overwritten inside a tenant, it may not be recoverable from Microsoft’s own tools. We deploy an independent third-party backup covering email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, with granular restore — so if something goes wrong, recovery is straightforward. See our Microsoft 365 backup and disaster recovery page for how this works.
One team for everything
When something goes wrong with email, or a user cannot access SharePoint, or Teams is behaving unexpectedly, your team calls one number. We deal with it. There is no pointing at Microsoft, no escalating through support tiers, no finger-pointing between providers. We manage the relationship with Microsoft on your behalf and take responsibility for the outcome.
Part of a broader managed support contract
For most Network Fish clients, Microsoft 365 support sits inside a broader managed IT contract that covers their entire environment: devices, networking, cloud services, helpdesk, and security. Everything managed by one team, under one monthly fee.
If you are only looking for Microsoft 365 management at this stage, that is a perfectly reasonable starting point. Many clients begin there and expand the relationship over time.
Get started
The starting point is a conversation about your current setup and what is causing friction. We can usually identify quick wins in the first meeting.
